The importance of this film is its relevancy, especially in today’s environment. We all need to take the time to watch the film and remember that the world is really a global group of the same people. We all love, fear, hurt, and suffer. But we all have the capacity to share civility and respect for one another.Instead of responding to negative input, why not respond with understanding and offer a chance to discuss our differences. If we connect long enough with another person, that connection begins to bind us together as just two human beings. We may get hungry and eat togather. We may enjoy the sunset together. Eventually, we may see our differences as parts of the world rather than conflicts or opinions to be changed. We learn to travel the world step by step with a new vision.

I pledge to listen to others who hold different opinions, views or beliefs. I will try to understand their reasons and their perspectives and will respectfully express my own in return. That’s it.

Travelling to Egypt was an experience that will stay with me forever. This was a place that inspired the soul, made the world a better place in my eyes, but more than that, in my husband’s eyes and heart. It was as if a spiritual being lifted my husband’s doubts and fears and replaced them with love. He passed suddenly shortly after our return. I can’t help thinking there was a greater meaning to all of this. My husband remarked that he could envision being in the desert forever. I took him back to the desert so he could be carry the love of the world forever. It has been more than a year and I still miss being in such a love-filled, spiritual, and welcoming land.

I experience the transformation of my husband. It was as if he opened his arms and the world entered his heart.
